After researching more apps, I decided that I would try and outline the interactive features. One of the ways I did this was from the introduction of clear buttons. This simple device did wonders to solve the problem of the sparse layout I had earlier.
I also included prompts in terms of simple arrows to signify that interaction with the object will lead on to another page. This is incredibly similar to Summly but I have used the 'A' and 'V' in the ACTIV logo to create the arrows. I reduced the height of the letterforms slightly in the final arrow icons to make them more suitable.
